This is an intermediate DIY project (if you know how to make mitered cuts on your miter saw, you can absolutely build this!)
 
Hiring a contractor would cost $3,000-$10,000 for a build of this caliber. Using this plan, you'll only spend ~$1,300 all in and a few days of your time.
 
Because of Ikea's wavering inventory, if you find that the Billy/Oxberg combo pieces aren't available, you can see if the Billy bookcases and Oxberg doors are available separately. Another color can be purchased as well.
 
Overall dimensions: 9'9" wide and 16 1/2" at the deepest part (+6" of mantle). The TV shown is a 50", which is 44" wide, however, if your TV is much wider, 90% of this guide is still applicable to you as you will just need to problem solve and change a few horizontal measurements given.
